The MGT Institute is built on the principle of Multi Genius Technology. We stand and build on the shoulders of our genius ancestors. The pre-Socratics, Plato, Aristotle, Pythagoras, Descartes, Leibniz, Kant, Hegel and so forth on the philosophical side and Nietzsche, Freud, Jung, Adler, William James and even L. Ron Hubbard to mention a few on the psychological side. Also Eastern philosophy which takes a more intuitive approach.
Our field is the psyche, the mind and spirit. Our methods are therapeutic, what we call processing (of limiting beliefs and/or trauma) and philosophical on the other side.
Philosophical counseling is a two-way communication on a subject of concern using a rational reasoning approach and may include some philosophical education pertinent to the chosen topic.
The key here is the use of philosophical thinking to solve the issues and problems of life. Issues such as what is the meaning of life or its purpose. Why does evil exist? What is morality? Who am I? These are very general but in our philosophical counseling we apply and address particular issues. We get things properly defined, we search for the underlying reasons, we inquire, doubt and question certain assumptions and apply critical thinking to sort things out.
I mention Carl Jung, as Jungian analytic psychology on the one hand has a lot of theory that can serve to increase understanding of the mind and how it functions and on the other hand has techniques such as active imagination and visualization which can be very helpful to bring unconscious factors into consciousness and integrate them. One of our main techniques in processing is the Universal Imagination Technique. Jungian analytic psychology may be considered bridging the philosophical and the therapeutical.
In the MGT Institute we use both the philosophical and the processing approach separately or combined. This new serivce is available from the 1st of January 2026.
